| Spring sunshine on the 'work in progress' pendants, Cari-Jane Hakes, March 2012 |
Oh, and the backs, well, if your are frequent Hybrid Handmade-er you will know that I like my backs to be as pretty as my fronts. It's an important detail I feel - especially if you were in a rush, wearing this pendant, and then, you arrive at your important appointment, a little flustered (as you are now a tiny bit late) and the person you are there to meet greets you by saying 'how lovely to see you, my, what a fabulous necklace!' You look down, and see that your pendant is in fact the wrong way round (becasue you were rushing) - but this doesn't matter because it is a Hybrid Handmade pendant and....the back is as beautiful as the front. I rest my case.

Elsewhere, I have used my trademark leaf texture. Always so beautifully stunning - I still marvel at the intricacy every time I pull this through my rolling mill.

It is spring here and autumn elsewhere. Don't you feel like it is the time when the world is in some kind of harmony? A harmony of colour.
Bonne Nuit mes amis.
I love the creative journeys your kind takes with your work, cOmbination of journey, pastiche, assemblage and discovery. It inspires me.... Soon soon I will be back at it for the first time in years. Not sure what doing yet....
